Sassy Templar

Too busy lamenting the fact that I need to work today so no Halloween party or AC3, so no comments. (I'll probably come back to this post later when I have better pictures or can think of witty comments.)

best part of being a Templar is the swooshy skirt
Me, toasting with the blood of my fallen adversaries.

Assassin's Creed 3

A.K.A. Orange you glad it isn't Ezio (geddit? yup queen of horrible jokes right here).

Hi, all! I've been waiting for this game to come out and in celebration painted my nails to match my AC inspired costume for tomorrow (I'm sure you can guess what it is).
Yeah, after this point is mostly geeking out. just a warning.
My subway train got delayed so I did what I usually do when I have a new video game and am bored - read the instuction manual. But the cool (but slightly disappointing) thing is that the manual is all in game. There is only on page to the instuction booklet:
I also knew that the game would come on two disks and worried about what that would mean for the player (I'd heard horror stories about needing to switch disks in the middle of gameplay, and experienced it firsthand in childhood. Darn you, Disney Villains for the PC (9>3<)9 ). Assassin's Creed I think did a perfect job when they decided to separate the disk content with one disk playing the single player portion (aka the portion I intend to play) and the other having all the multi-player content (which I won't be able to play until I go home for winter vacation).
Now all that's left is to play the bugger.

Boring post is boring

Nothing has really been happening. I started working my work study job. I bought comics and stuff.

I went to the Davis Square Flea Market and bought this adorable Dick Tracy lunch box:

perfect for my hair clips and necklaces

also iron man nails this week

I'm Bringing Sexy Cap

Hi, all! I always feel like I need to blog more, but I'm far to busy (meaning too lazy and irresponsible) to have a regular schedule.

So I went to my first party as a college student last Saturday: Comicazi's Halloweeniversary party! Here's the line up of me and my crazy friends:
Lady Gaga, Fiona, Captain Ameriboob America, Linkara, Panda, and Banshee
Hilarious Story #1: A guy comes up to me and says "I never thought I would ever say Captain America is hot."

One of many uses for an arc reactor: filling out raffle tickets in a dark room
Hilarious Story #2: My sister found someone dressed as the Doctor (the one with the scarf, Tom Baker). Of course she compliments his scarf and he offers her a jelly baby.
At this point, my friend Sarah has been watching this conversation. So, my sister accepts the candy and Sarah is just like "You just took candy from a stranger. Don't people say to never do that? Why did you do that."
My sister responds with "He's not a stranger, He's the Doctor."
Me and my invisible shield
I had accidentally entered the Women's costume competition as well as the Group competition. When I went up alone, I heard someone yell "Sing the song!" My sister heard someone yell "God Bless America!"
The picture of my sister and me from the Comicazi facebook
I pretty much spent the night "getting down with my bad self" (Oh how I love using lame lingo), and making boob jokes (wait... that isn't what all girls do when they're bored?).
V for Victory! We won the group costume prize!
I had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to next year! Now to figure out what to spend my prize on.
Also I had Captain America nails under my gloves.

New York Comic Con part two

Sorry Guys, I think I was half asleep then I wrote my last blog post, so there was a distinct lack of witty commentary. Well, today is not much better.
You might remember the jumper my sister is wearing from here, but I never got a chance to share the skirt which I had also worn for the Sunday of PAX.
There was a hell of a lot of people there.
I had wanted to try the Flash Mac and Cheese, but I guess I wasn't fast enough because they had sold out.
Also, I bought stickers!

In other news, I just found out that I am Birthday Buddies with Booster Gold.
Also I did my nails based on the game Prototype earlier this week.

New York Comic Con part one

I like that the first ad I see in NYC is SHIRTLESS GREEN ARROW!
The return of Batman-girl and Robin
Guest starring Marvel Girl
That awesome moment when you find cosplayers of your favorite character(s)

Wig Party

So, I haven't gotten any pictures from the con yet, so yeah. But I did buy an amaze-balls wig (by which I mean my sister bought it for me) from The Five Wits. I want to put together a Birds of Prey group with my sister and her friends (hopefully we will be able to go to NYCC next year), so I got the wig for Lady Blackhawk:

I've been a fan of her uniform for a while now and have been tempted to read Blackhawks because of her.
So yeah, I got the "Art Bomb Zodiac Star" style. Here it is:

a little curling and a hat away from perfect
the wig came with a cute clip in pony tail (we bought a second one for $5)
I think I might go to Comicazi's Halloweeniversary party as a girly Captain America
Or maybe as a girly pirate Captain America

On the Road to NYCC

Sorry guys, I tried to post this on Friday, but something must have gone wrong. Let's just pretend this was posted when I wanted and I'll have more posts for you all tomorrow and Tuesday.
 ...

I've been a bit busy with school and being excited, but it's finally time for New York Comic Con!
I'm on the bus right now and have been entertaining myself by re-reading the comics I brought to be signed.
In case anyone is wondering, I am reading Robin  Plus Impulse, written by my favorite comic book writer Mark Waid.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.

and I also quote random songs when I think to.
But that doesn't matter because my (and my sister's) badge(s) for New York Comic Con arrived.

I had a job interview yesterday and should find out tonight if I got the position.
If I did get the job, I'm gonna reward myself by pre-ordering Assassin's Creed III.
As a reward for getting through the interview, I painted my nails again.
I had wanted to make the nails blood splattered (except the thumb), but I only have a sparkly red nail polish and blood does not sparkle.

Well, off to class now.
